Stranger on a Bridge is a song I wrote in the spring of 2013. I filmed the video that fall in Houston, TX and Seattle, WA. The idea of the music video is to visualize the idea between memories one has with a significant other from the past and the future memories one can have with another.
This was a project I filmed while in NYC. All of the footage was taken on tourist boat ride down the Hudson River in 2011. I went into filming knowing I wanted to create footage for the song Baqroque Thoughts by The Webb Sisters, a song I had listened to earlier in that week and found myself continuously hitting repeat to on my iphone.
In 2007 I studied abroad for the second time in Paris, France. Afterwards I returned to Dubai where my family currently resides and spent time at Al Maha. I filmed pieces of both travels and explored collaging the two as to articulate not only my personal experiences from both places but also the comparison between both countries through a travelers eye. I chose Lemongrass for the music due to the overlapping sounds between the visual experience in both spaces as well as Roland Voss' background in European New Wave music.
